Staying at Station Linné provides a perfect and peaceful base for experiencing Ölands fantastic nature. Here you live right next to Stora Alvaret and the lush greenery of the Mittland forrest.
It also gives you a unique opportunity to stay in the environment of a working and active research station. Station Linné has existed since 1963 and is owned by a non-profit foundation. The vision is to contribute to a sustainable future, where all activities aim to benefit biological diversity. A stated goal is to spread knowledge and interest through the research being conducted. By staying with us, you make an important contribution to Swedish research! It is this, together with the outstanding location, that makes Station Linné a very special accommodation!
Our 28 rooms are divided into single and double rooms and a suite/family room, all with private shower and toilet. It is possible to make supplements for breakfast, sheets and towels as well as final cleaning. Our well-equipped communal kitchen has everything you need to prepare your own meals, which you can then be enjoyed in our cozy dining room or in the garden.
During the day our café is open, and in our shop you will find a variety of local products, books for all ages and a large selection of entomological material for those interested in insects.
Right outside our doors our three hiking trails start, which are by far some of Swedens most interesting due to the richness of species that can be found here. We have maps to lend with information about what you will see along the paths. The information is in swedish, english and german. Not only that, but the Mörbylångaleden passes through our garden!
